About Us

For years, I have dreamt of designing my own clothing label. It's absolutely amazing to finally be at a place in life, where I am able to fulfill that dream, and make it come true!

After living below the poverty line while battling a heavy drug addiction for 15 years, escaping severe domestic violence right along side the police brutality, only to lose everything in a horrific fire that tore my entire building apart (tragically killing 2 tenants and several pets)... I found out I was pregnant! Something I didn't believe could even be physically possible for me anymore.

Because of my son, I was able to completely turn my entire life around! However it has not come easily. After the fire, the remaining tenants were moved into a different SRO Hotel (Single Room Occupancy = Ghetto). When the manager of the new building found out I was pregnant, they changed my locks and kicked me out with no eviction notice. Their reasoning being the building was 18+ only.

At 8 months pregant, in the middle of winter (in Canada) with nowhere to go, I checked myself into the hospital early. Still, life did not come easy. For the first 4 months of my tiny newborn son's life, we remained homeless because of the ongoing housing crisis. We stayed at shelters and hotels, while I hunted for housing. FINALLY, we found a home for both my son and I, as well as our family of pet's. We could all live together at last!

Lost⸸Parade has risen up from out the streets of Vancouver's notorious DTES [Downtown Eastside], East Hastings Street. It combines the toughness of the ghetto, layering in gothic punk vibes, with the fighting warrior spirit that comes in combat.
